In late August and early September 2025, I worked with Unity Theatre (Liverpool) in a temporary role supporting their digital administration. My responsibilities focused on updating and managing the theatre’s autumn season programme, ensuring accurate and engaging listings across various event platforms and online channels.

This role required attention to detail, consistency in communication, and a clear understanding of how to effectively present cultural programming to reach and engage diverse audiences.

 

Project Description – “Unity Theatre”

Unity Theatre, based in Liverpool, is a vibrant and community-centered performance venue housed in a converted 19th-century synagogue. With roots in the radical theatre movement of the 1930s, it has long been dedicated to presenting bold and socially conscious work while making the arts accessible to wider and more diverse audiences.

Today, Unity Theatre offers a rich annual program that includes innovative theatre, new writing, experimental productions, music events, film screenings, exhibitions, and creative workshops. The venue is recognized for its commitment to pushing boundaries and championing voices that reflect contemporary issues and community experiences.

Beyond its performances, Unity serves as a hub for local talent development, providing rehearsal spaces, mentorship, and opportunities for emerging and established artists alike.
